At the 'In The Spotlight Dance Festival' held at the Seymore Center, more than 40 students from Burwood Public School performed their dance performances in front of a large audience.
The aim of the dance festival is to showcase high quality, well-choreographed items that use the dance syllabus as the foundation for creating work with integrity and merit. The focus of the dance festival is on producing excellence in dance and promoting the high calibre of students and teachers; the dancers and choreographers in schools.
The Junior Dance Group performed "Cotton Eye Joe" dressed in cowboy costumes, and the Senior Dance Group performed "The Enchanted Forest" dressed up as unicorns, trolls, and fairies!
